| Describe the main character(s) Kitty Memorable passage in the story: "Kitty bent down to pick up the pieces of the precious IOU. As she faced him again she said hesitatingly but clearly in the teasing and mischevious voice she had always used this one-legged soldier, " I told you I'd do it, didn't I?" Though it had obviously been an effort, she went on, word for word, "So now we are quits, aren't we?" Even as she heard the words, loud and clear, she also heard them in her head and in her heart, and she knew that her miseries were finally over. | Favourite part in the story: "It was enough to inspire them, and they flew like low-flying swans across the dew-spoaked grass because they both knew where they were going and who was going with them."
